Tender Grandmas thwarted.. Yet again

Left Altadena this morning.. Said farewell to Mama Babcock. Took off for Arizona!!! We checked up on campgrounds yesterday..figured out where we were going to camp, had dinner planned out and everything and we got there and turns out all the campgrounds here are already closed for the winter, even though it said they were open on the website. So we got a Motel 6 room. Hit the town and found a really good Mexican place and got margaritas & shots of tequila. Then we walked around the town & drooled over all of the amazing turquoise jewelry here. But this is just the beginning of TURQUOISE LANDDDDDD!!!!!!

Really amazing dinner we had last nite at Mama Babcock's house. Sautéed kale & spinach & roasted squash, fennel, potatoes, celery, and parsnips. A-m-a-z-I-n-g.

Delta decided to sleep on two beds at once.. You know, ultimate comfort for an ultimate dog.

Breakfast that Mama Babcock made for us this morning! Sweet potatoes with poached eggs on top.

Drivin' into Arizona.

Cheese enchilada dinner in Williams, AZ (right outside of the Grand Canyon).

Our dinner spot. The first Irish/Mexican fusion restaurant I've ever seen.

Marly found a new boyfriend in Williams. He's really a nice guy.

We found Meggie's shot glass heaven.

This stuff was sooo weird. It felt pretty much just like snow. And check out that ultra creepy baby advertising it.

Inside of the "Turquoise TePee". Where really expensive turquoise jewelry is sold.

Our Motel bar!
